This Recipe is very similar to Ravva/Sooji Kesari sweet. I made this laddus on Diwali Festival when I stressed with time.
I am able to make Kesari Laddus and Kesari Boorelu in a short time and offer to my friends and family members on the festive day. They liked both the recipes. I am sharing the recipe for Ravva Kesari Laddu and of course will write up the Boorelu shortly.
Ravva Kesari Laddus:
Ingredients:
- Sooji/Semolina/Ravva – 1 cup
- Sugar – 1 1/4 Cup
- Cardamom Pods – 1 tbsp
- Ghee – 1/2 cup
- Cashew Nuts and Almonds – 1/2 cup
- Water – 2 1/4 cups
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
How to make Ravva Kesari Laddus:
- On simmer roast the cashews in 2 tbsp of ghee and cool them.
- Powdered the roasted cashews, almonds, cardamom pods and 2 spoons of sugar together and keep aside.
- Roast the sooji in remaining ghee in same pan on simmer and at the same time boil water in a wok.
- Once the water starts boiling and sooji was roasted, Pour sooji gradually to the boiling water and mix well.
- Continue mixing till the sugar dissolves and becomes semi solid.
- Place a lid on wok and cook well.
- Once it becomes closer add the roasted cashew powder to it and mix well.
- Pour ghee gradually and mix well.
Cool the Kesari sweet and make laddus with that. You can also add some roasted dry fruits while making laddus. It looks even better and tastier.
Hope you all like this recipe.
