Chick peas are rich in protein and Sweet corn is rich in fibre, together gives double taste to the chat. Chick pea-Sweet corn chat is easy to prepare with less ingredients and is a healthy evening snack recipe.
Ingredients:
- Cooked chick peas (chole) – 1 cup
- Cooked sweet corn – 1 cup
- Chat masala powder (I prefer Everest Chat Masala) – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Fresh lemon juice – 2 tbsp
- Chopped raw onion pieces – 3 tbsp
- Chopped green chillies – 2
- Ghee/olive oil – 1 tbsp
- Chopped tomato – 2 tbsp
How to prepare Chick pea – Sweet corn chat:
- Heat oil/ghee in a frying pan and add chopped green chillies to it and fry well.
- Add raw onion pieces to it and fry them, followed by chopped cilantro.
- Fry the cilantro leaves on simmer and add tomato pieces, cooked corn and chick peas to it.
- Sauté them for 5 minutes on a high flame (if sticking to the walls fry them on simmer).
- Sprinkle chat masala powder, salt and mix well.
- Fry the above ingredients for 5 minutes and turn off the flame.
- Then add fresh lemon juice, mix well.
- Chunky chick pea-sweet corn chat is ready.
Note: You can add raw onion pieces, tomato pieces along with lemon juice at the end for different taste.
