Ravva Kesar (Sweet)

Surprise visits from friends/relatives keeps you in a tight situation, especially when there are no snacks to serve them. It is your duty to surprise them with a quick tasty sweet. Follow this recipe to make a quick sweet:

Ravva kesari:

Bombay ravva – 1cup
Sugar – 2cups
Water -1cup
Milk – 1/4 cup
Ghee – 1/2cup
Cashew nuts
Black current
Almonds
Sweet colour
Saffron

How to cook:

  1. Roast the cashew, almonds and black current in ghee till golden brown colour.
  2. Collect the above dry nuts in a bowl.
  3. Add ravva to the same vessel and roast in simmer.
  4. Once feel a good smell from it,collect in a container with sugar and mix well.
  5. Boil water up to 70oc and transfer ravva mix into water with continuous stirring to avoid lumps.
  6. cook well until the mix gets closer like halwa.
  7. Add Elachi powder,ghee,saffron and mix well.
  8. Add dry fruit nuts to the delicious sweet for taste for decorative purpose.

Tips :

  1. Milk, sweet colour, Saffron must not to be added.
  2. Measurement of ghee and sweet colour is completely depends on tasters choice.
