Fried Chicken is a popular street food in many countries along with potato fries. I tried to prepare Indian version of the same by adding some spicy masala mix. It turned out tasty and am sharing this recipe for you! It is a quick and easy recipe to for chicken lovers.
Ingredients:
- Chicken pieces – 10 (small)
- Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Egg white – 1
- Corn flour – 1/2 tbsp
- Chicken fry masala powder – 1 tbsp
- Black Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
- Chilli Lemon powder – 1 tbsp
- Oil for deep fry
For Garnishing:
- Lemon – 4 (small pieces)
- Cilantro – 4 (leaves with three petals)
- Onion pieces – 4 (broad and short)
How to make Indian Fried Chicken:
- Wash the chicken and pat dry to remove water content from the chicken.
- In a mixing bowl add salt, red chilli powder, chicken fry powder, chilli lemon powder, black pepper powder, corn flour and egg white and mix well.
- Then add the dried chicken pieces and mix well.
- Fry the chicken pieces in hot boiling oil and continue frying for 10 minutes by reducing the temperature till it fried and cooked.
- Transfer the chicken on to a tissue to remove excess oil.
- Then keep the chicken on a plate and garnish with onions, lemons and cilantro.
- Serve hot fried chicken with french fries.
- It can be served as a starter recipe.
Where can i find chilli lemon salt and also what kind of chicken masala did u used….
Hi Deepthi! You can find chilli lemon powder in any (Asda)super markets/Asian shops in spices section. I used “Eastern” chicken fry masala powder – you can get this powder in Asian shops or you can use chicken masala powder instead of it.
