Sago Malt Drink

Summer in India… it is very hot. We feel very weak and dehydrated even after a small outing. Sago Malt Drink is a good refreshment in such cases and makes your body cool.


  • Sagu pearls (extremely good to reduce the body temperature) – 1/4 th cup
  • Sugar (energetic) – 1/2 cup
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Milk – 1 cup

How to cook:

  1. Soak Sago in water overnight.
  2. Add equal amounts of water to milk and boil at 100 degrees.
  3. Incubated sago is added to above milk and cooked until the sago becomes soft and transparent.
  4. Stir continuously while adding sugar into the boiling milk.
  5. Serve hot

*TIP: Same preparation can be made without adding milk as well.
