Delicious Carrot Halwa

Carrots are excellent for the eyes and skin. Carrots contain large quantities of vitamin A. Carrot Halwa is a delicious way of consuming healthy carrots 🙂


  • 4 glasses grated carrot
  • Sugar – 2 glasses
  • Milk – 2 glasses
  • Ghee – 50 gms
  • Cardamom powder
  • Cashew nuts
  • Almonds

How to cook Carrot Halwa:

  1. Wash carrots with clean water, peel off the skin and grate them.
  2. Roast cashews and almonds in 2-3tbsp of ghee in a frying pan and transfer them in a bowl.
  3. Fry grated carrots in 3tbsp of ghee in the above pan and continue frying until the raw smell is completely gone.
  4. Add milk to the grated carrot and cook for 20 minutes (on simmer).
  5. Add sugar and ghee to the above and cook (on simmer) till ghee oozes around the pan.
  6. Add cardamom powder, fried dry nuts and mix well.
  7. Delicious carrot halwa is ready to taste.


  • Do not forget to cook the Halwa in simmer.
