Ingredients:
- Paneer – 250 gms
- Butter – 2 to 4 tbsp
- Bay leaves – 3
- Green chillies – 4 (finely chopped)
- Onions – 1 big (finely chopped)
- Ginger Garlic paste – 1 big tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Corriander Powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Dried Fenugreek leaves – 2 tbsp
- Garam masala powder – 1tbsp
- Turmeric – 1tbsp
- Fresh cream – 5 tbsp
- Cashew nuts – Handful for paste
- Milk – 1 cup
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Cilantro chopped – few
- Tomatoes – 3 big (puree)
How to Prepare Paneer Butter Masala:
Soak the cashew nuts in the milk to make cashew milk paste.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the paneer pieces in a simmer.
Transfer the paneer pieces on to the tissue from the frying pan.
Add Butter to the frying pan and add finely chopped chillies and onions to it and fry well till golden brown colour.
Add Ginger garlic to it and stir fry until the raw smell has gone.
Chopped cilantro leaves are added and sauté well on simmer.
Transfer the tomato puree to the pan and boil it for few minutes with a lid for 7 minutes.
Stir it occasionally. Add Fenugreek leaves, coriander powder, chilli powder, salt and garam masala powder to the pan and mix well.
Pour water and boil it on high flame by placing the lid on the pan for 10 minutes.
Add cashew-milk paste and fresh cream to it and mix well.
Lastly add the fried paneer pieces to it and cook for 7 minutes.
Paneer butter masala is ready.
It can be had with Rotis, Naans, boiled white rice, chapatis.
